ADCs to oversee workplace harassment redressal in J&K | KNO

Srinagar, Apr 21 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday nominated Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) as district officers to implement provisions of the sexual harassment of women at workplaces. According to an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the nominated officer's will exercise powers and discharge duties under section 5 of chapter III of Sexual Harassment of Women at workplace (prevention, prohibition and redressal) Act, 2013. The initiative is expected to ensure prompt redressal of complaints and a safe work environment for women. Notably, the government earlier outlined its efforts to tackle sexual harassment in workplaces, following a query from MLA Ranbir Singh Pathania in the Legislative Assembly—(KNO)
